Born in Longquan in July 1974, Zhou Tangqiang holds a bachelor’s degree. He studied under the renowned swordsmith Master Chen Ajin and has specialized in sword research, design, and production for more than 30 years. Through dedicated study of ancient weapons and traditional sword-forging techniques, and by integrating the craftsmanship of earlier masters with years of practical refinement, he has developed a distinctive and rare forged artistic style. His works are art shaped by steel and fire, combining innovation with classical revival in a manner that is elegant, natural, and imbued with an ancient, noble splendor.

His works, including Huche SwordHan Sword, and Pearl-Pattern Sword, have received multiple national patents. Among them, his 2005 work Qing Longquan Sword has become a representative piece in the industry. In 2006, Seven-Star Longquan Sword won an International Folk Handicraft Silver Award. Chuyun Sword won the Gold Award at the 5th China Artworks Awards. Longquan Sword won the Gold Award in the Zhongyi Cup of the China National Arts and Crafts Association, along with dozens of other arts and crafts awards. Many of his works have been collected by well-known figures in China and abroad and are also held in museum collections.
